AISSA ROSE GUEYE
Aissa is a Senegalese writer and filmmaker raised in NYC. She has worked as a script coordinator and writer's assistant on RAP SH!T (S1 + S2), RANDOM ACTS OF FLYNESS (S2) and WE STAY LOOKING (S1). Recently, Aissa completed the 2023 Fall writer’s residency at Mara Brock Akil’s Writers’ Colony. Aissa's film and photo work has been featured in Issa Rae Presents, Afropunk, The Photographic Journal, Toksick Magazine, Blackstar Film Festival, Black Harvest Film Festival, and Montreal International Black Film Festival. Aissa earned her B.A. in Film and African-American studies with a concentration on Creative Writing at Wesleyan University. She currently resides in LA.
